Hello everyone! I hope someone can help me :)

I don't understand why something I see делать and sometimes сделать in context which seem the same to me. For example I've read sentence which started the same. Something like this:

Вчера я делал завтрак...
Вчера я сделад завтрак...

I guess they don't mean the same, but I'm totally lost here. How would you translate each sentence into English? Maybe a translation would help me understand this a bit better.

Thanks!

Я делал завтрак - I was making a breakfast
Я сделал завтрак - I made a breakfast
"Делал" you can use this verb for actions which you were doing for some period of time in the past.
"Сделал" you can use this verb for actions which you have finished in the past. Doesn't matter how long you were doing something. The idea is that you finished it.
I hope I could help you)

Hi Ljovanja!

Thanks a lot! Now I think I understand it. So one of this verbs is perfective and the other one imperfective, right?
