Almost all of verbs ending in -еть belong to the 1st conjugation, but there are 7 exceptions: обидеть, терпеть, зависеть, вертеть, видеть, смотреть, ненавидеть. Those ones belong to the 2nd.

Hello!
Russian verbs ending in -еть may be divided in 4 groups.

1. The majority of verbs ending in -еть refer to the 1st conjugation and form the present/future simple tense like the verb “де́лать”. For example:
име́ть – to have
я име́ю
ты име́ешь
он/она́/оно́ име́ет
мы име́ем
вы име́ете
они име́ют

2. Many verbs ending in -еть (principally those specifying feeling, perceptions or sounds) refer to the 2nd conjugation:
смотре́ть – to watch, to look
смотрю́
смо́тришь
смо́трит

смо́трите
смо́трят

шуме́ть – to make noise
шумлю́
шуми́шь
шуми́т
шуми́м
шуми́те
шумя́т

3. Verbs ending in -ереть. These ones refer to the 1st conjugation, but all of them change the stem in the folowing way:
умере́ть (perfective)to die
умру́
умрёшь
умрёт
умрём
умрёте
умру́т

4. There are a few verbs that follow their own patterns:
хоте́ть – to want
хочу́
хо́чешь
хо́чет
хоти́м
хоти́те
хотя́т

петь – to sing
пою́
поёшь
поёт
поём
поёте
пою́т

реве́ть – to roar, to cry, to blubber
реву́
ревёшь
ревёт
ревём
ревёте
реву́т

деть – is often used in the meaning “to put somewhere and forget where the object was left”
де́ну
де́нешь
де́нет
де́нем
де́нете
де́нут

All derived verbs (спеть, зареве́ть, наде́ть etc.) are conjugated in the same way.
