does чайник mean "dummy"?

Привет!

Чайник usually means "a kettle" but you can see it in phrases like "математика для чайников" / йога для чайников etc. so I'm guessing from the context that it also means something like "dummy / stupid". Is my guess correct?

Спасибо, друзья!
