Hi!

I'm curious to know what exactly is the word так? I hear Russian people say it a lot and I can guess that it's something like "so" at the beginning of a sentence, is that correct? Is it like a parasite word?

Hi,

I wouldn't call this word a parasite. It can be used as an adverb, a conjunction and a particle, and it's really used very actively. Our thesaurus provides 12 meanings of it plus lots of expressions with it.
