Hi all,
From Google Translate, I got the following 2 translations:
(1) Newly elected = Вновь избранного
(2) Will newly elected French President Macron succeed in not sinking the boat?=Сможет ли новоизбранный президент Франции Макрон не утонуть в лодке?

From Mueller English to Russian Dictionary

English : newly
adverb
1) заново, вновь
по-иному, по-новому
2) недавно
newly arrived вновь прибывший
the newly weds новобрачные, молодожёны

I am confused with (I) the Russian words: заново, вновь, по-иному, по-новому for the English word "newly";
(ii) the Russian phrase: Вновь избранного for the English "newly elected"; (iii) the Russian expression "новоизбранный президент" for the English "newly elected French President" phrase.

Please help, enlighten me in resolving (i), (ii) and (iii) (for correct Russian words and grammar of adverb, participle, etc), and respond.

Thanks in advance,
Scott Chang

Hello,

to clarify case (ii)(iii) -
Mr. Obama 2008 -- новоизбранный
Mr. Obama 2012 -- вновь избранный

(i) the Russian words: заново, вновь, по-иному, по-новому
заново | вновь -- equivalent (as to me)
по-иному, -- realized different way in comparison with previous case(s)
по-новому -- realized again, same or different way. May be (my feeling), if different, then better -- notification of some improvement.
