The Russian pilot Pyotr Nesterov (1887-1914) was the first person in history who did a loop and a suicide attack on a plane. However, he is not remembered for any of this. You can read his story in our blog

Can you think of any Russian (writer, inventor, scientist, artist, athlete,...) that history does not properly remember despite having done something important?

What about Alexander Popov? Five years before Marconi invented the wireless telegraph and become "the father of radio", Popov had already built the same device. He was the first to communicate messages using radio waves and he was the first to use an aerial.

The day he demonstrated the reception or radio signals is celebrated in Russia as Radio Day.

But if you asked "who discovered the radio?" Everyone says that it was Marconi.

Here is a stamp of him the day he demonstrated his invention in 1895 :)
