Interesting point, Araceli! I guess it comes down to what is also known as the "rolling R" which is known from languages like German and Russian. And I agree, we can hear some dialectic differences in Russian. Btw, the same applies to Russian "х", as in " х орошо". Comp...

Hi, looking at this (IMO funny) idiom: "медведь на ухо наступил", what does it mean? I understand the primary meaning is for someone having a tin ear, e.g. - [at concert] "did you hear how wrong that violinist played?" - "no, sorry, медведь на ухо наступил" I guess ther...

Why do I find е instead of ё so often?

How come I find so many websites and translators (including e.g. Google) writing e instead of ё? Is this a keyboard issue? What is it like for Russian speakers, do they perceive it as a mistake or are they thinking "well, doesn't matter anyway"?

E.g. тёмный vs. темный
