do you guys know onomatopeia in Russian?
onomatopeia is the formation of a word, as cuckoo, meow, honk, or boom, by imitation of a sound made by or associated with its referent.
for example: Хо-хо-хо-хо! (sounds of laugh in Russian), мяу-мяу (sound of cat) etc.
in this year in my collage, we have to write thesis and i have decided that i will write thesis about onomatopeia in Russian . but i have some problems. i can find the source to get examples of onomatopeia in Russian, but the problem is the theory of onomatopeia in Russian is little.
perhaps, does anyone know some links or books that talking about onomatopeia in Russian? thanks in advance

1. Хрю-Хрю (khru-khru) it sounds like a pig voice.
2. Гав-Гав (gav-gav) sounds like a dog bark.
By the way, onomatopoeia is not widely spread in Russian language.
