Un ejemplo es en el paso 1 y Lección 5 llamada: Я хочу пиццу и кофе, спасибо!

Aquí se usa la letra "A".

Básicamente esta es mi duda.

Gracias de antemano.

"И" is used as a connection something like, " this and that," or, "cake and ice cream." "А' is used when the meaning of contrast is introduced. For example, "Она Юлия, а я Майкл.". "И" соuld be used here, but there is a little contrast between Юлия and Майкл. "И" could be interchangeable in the following example, but "А" is used to suggest that the meaning is additive or sequential . For example, "Сначала мы будем завтракать, а потом, будем гулять." You could use "И" in this example but "А" emphasizes the time sequence. "Но," definitely means, "but." The contrast is stronger than "А." I'm going to pay closer attention to how these are used when I read or watch movies.
