prepositions "о" / "про"

Why do we use this case here? And this verb? What rule should I use here?

prepositions "о" / "про"

Postby smart888 » Apr 26th, 15, 20:43

Hi!

I've noticed that in Russian there are two prepositions to say "about": о and про (о жизни / про жизнь). Is there any difference between them apart from the case?

Thanks a lot!

hi,
I see no difference, but I'd say that kids use mainly ПРО (you know, they always ask parents to tell them about something), while literate adults opt for O
