¿Por qué se usa este caso aquí? ¿Y este verbo? ¿Qué regla debo usar aquí?

Спокойной ночи

Buenas noches compañeros. Mi pregunta tiene que ver con la expresión que está en el Asunto. Sé que Спокойной ночи significa "Buenas noches" pero veo que el adjetivo aparentemente está en singular y el sustantivo ночи está en plural. No hay una contradicción ahí? En todo caso podría ser Спокойной ночь о Спокойные ночи? O no está en nominativo? Agradeceré que alguien me explique la construcción de esta frase.

No parece acusativo. Será dativo? Esta expresión es en plural o singular, si es singular en qué género. O Спокойной no es un adjetivo. Por favor una respuesta

Expresión es en singular. Cпокойной es un adjetivo.
ночи:
родительный падеж
единственное число
женский род
