need help with the tense

Why do we use this case here? And this verb? What rule should I use here?

need help with the tense

Postby machine_head » May 14th, 15, 22:41

Hi everyone!

I have to analyse grammatically the following sentence: Завтра я еду в отпуск. And I don't know whether it's present or past, has the word "завтра" but the verb is in present. Shouldn't it be Завтра я буду ехать в отпуск?

Thanks for your help!

hi,

"буду ехать" implies duration, the process of going, for example, you can say "завтра В ЭТО ВРЕМЯ я буду ехать В ПОЕЗДЕ".
I'd say that in the sentence "завтра я поеду/еду/уезжаю в отпуск" you just state a fact.
